The FireBrick 105 is a hardware firewall - put simply it prevents direct attack to your network from the internet. You can simply plug it in between your internet router and your network and it will provide protection immediately without any configuration or setting up at all. Your network can be firewalled within 60 seconds of opening the box.
It acts as a main gateway to the internet for your network whether you have one PC or 500 PCs, and whether you have a 64Kb/s leased line or an 8Mb/s ADSL link, the FireBrick fits the bill. There are no ongoing charges, per user licenses or fees for software upgrades.
The FireBrick FB105 is no longer in manufacture. Some refurbished units may still be available, but the newer FB2500 and FB2700 models are now the recommended solution, providing greater throughput and a host of new features.
The FireBrick 105 can do much more. As standard it is a small managed 10/100 network switch with auto crossover ports. It provides:
It even has a built in cable tester to help find basic network faults, as well as lots of little features like DNS relay and time server.
All this is just the beginning, as the FireBrick 105 also has a range of optional extra features including:
It can even provide full 5 port operation allowing multiple independent demilitarized zones (DMZs).
The full manuals are on this web site as well as lists of FireBrick dealers who will be happy to discuss your requirements.
The FireBrick 105 is the successor to the highly successful FireBrick SoHo and Plus models and comes with a host of new features.
